Principal's Message

Spring has sprung and we are entering the final stretch of the school year.  I can't believe it but there are only 39 days of school left as of April 1st.

We have some exciting things happening at the middle school right now with the PARCC field test, Washington D.C. and Camp Palmer around the corner, and the biggest item OAA testing the week of April 21-May 9.  With testing comes pressure so it is important that we help out at home with a good nights rest, plenty of water to drink, and a good breakfast to start the day.  The teachers are working hard to prepare for the upcoming tests and the students are already rising to the challenges that come before them like they always do.

I also wanted to give a big thank you to all of the parents, students, and staff members at Patrick Henry for there hard work and flexibility during the extended days.  Without your help and willingness to work with us this would not have been possible.  Thank you for your support!

I am very excited about all of the opportunities that are available for our students here at PHMS and I can't wait to let you know about more of the amazing opportunities we have to offer here!

Thanks again for all of your support and if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at 419-274-3431 or email me at KLacy@phpatriots.org.

November 11-15 was National Young Readers Week. Mr. Kyle Lacy took the Book-It! Principal Challenge, which was for him to commit to read for the entire school day, from the first bell to the last. On Thursday, November 14th, Mr. Lacy visited every reading class in the middle school to read to the students. The students enjoyed having him in their classrooms reading to them, and by the end of the day the challenge was completed.
