HS Principal's Message

Thank you for visiting the Patrick Henry High School Website.  The 2014/2015 school year looks to be a new and exciting time for PHHS.

Our staff consists of nearly 30 adults (including certified and classified staff) who help to provide a great learning environment for all of the students that walk the halls of PHHS.  We are fortunate to be able to serve approximately 300 students both on our campus and at Four County Career Center.

The district’s vision statement talks about creating life-long learners.  At PHHS, we believe that to be of the utmost importance.  After the four years students spend at PHHS, they will transition into the real world.  Our goal is to be able to foster these life-long learners and prepare them for the real world challenges they will face.

Please contact me with any questions you may have.  I can be reached by phone (419-274-3015) or by email (jbiederstedt@phpatriots.org).

GO BIG RED.

PHHS Honored with High Achievement Award

Tuesday, July 29

Recently Patrick Henry High School was honored by the Southern Region Education Board with the Platinum High Achievement Award.  This award is tied to an assessment that is taken every two years in coordination with High Schools That Work (HSTW).  Nearly 1200 high schools nationwide participate in this school improvement initiative and PHHS was one of only 29 that received this award.  Being part of this initiative allows PHHS to obtain an annual grant that offsets much professional development costs to the district.  The picture is of Mr. Pennington (Math Instructor, PHHS) next to the banner that was presented to us and he is also holding the plaque.  Mr. Pennington serves as the grant coordinator.  Congratulations to the students and staff.  You can read the press release here.

New School Fee Policy

Tuesday, July 2

To be eligible to participate in any extracurricular activity, a student must pay current school fees and all delinquent school fees from prior years by September 20th of this school year. As an alternative to paying delinquent fees in full, parents will have an opportunity to enter into an installment plan agreement with the district, which allows parents to make incremental payments of $10 per month/per child during the months of September – May to reduce prior years’ outstanding fees. However, payment of the current year’s fees is required.
